Announcing our new name the SunFest Running Festival aka SunFest RunFest.

 

The Committee felt that a revamp for this event was warranted so we had a brainstorming session and came up with SunFest RunFest. Look out for our new branding coming soon.

This year SunFest RunFest is proudly supporting two charity organisations;

Challenge supporting kds with cancer

and

Careworks SunRanges Inc. A not-for-profit crisis relief centre to help those facing difficult times.

 

 

DISTANCES

2km Kids Colour Run

5km Walk / Run

10km Run

 

2km Kids Colour Run

Start time: 8.15am

The kids colour run is for all children up to the age of 16 years. Children under 12 need to be accompanied before, during and after the event by a parent or guardian. Parent(s) will need to register.

Starting in Barkly Street, Sunbury, participants will turn right into Macedon Street and make their way down to Apex Park to the turn around point. They will then make their way back to the start / finish line.

It is suggested participants wear either a black or white t-shirt and all entrants will receive a finishers medallion.

Please note you will need a bib for this event, however it is not timed.

5km Walk / Run

Start time: 9.00am

The 5km Walk / Run is for all ages (children aged 12 under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian).

Starting in Barkly Street, Sunbury, participants will turn right into Macedon Street and make their way down to Apex Park. From there they will head under the bridge, go around the Nook and make their way back to the start / finish line.

All entrants will receive a finishers medallion and trophies awarded to the main place getters.

Timing bibs will be provided for this event.

10km Run

Start time: 8.00am

The 10km Run is for all ages 16 years and above. There will be a cut off time for this event being 2 hours.

Starting in Barkly Street, Sunbury, participants will turn right into Macedon Street and make their way down to Apex Park. From there they will head under the bridge, go around the Nook up the hill and along The Skyline before turning around and making their way back to the start / finish line.

All entrants will receive a finishers medallion and trophies awarded to the main place getters.

Timing bibs will be provided for this event.
